JOHN F. LAGAN
has been practicing law in New York City for over twenty years, primarily, in real estate and finance, related corporate law, and commercial litigation.
As an attorney with two of New York’s largest and most prestigious law firms and now privately, Jack has been involved in nearly every form of real estate and corporate financing, including the securitization of large loan portfolios and multi-level mezzanine financing. Jack also represented warehouse credit lenders in connection with CMBS issues.
As General Counsel for a real estate investment partnership, Jack managed portfolio of fifty properties, including long-term strategic planning, workouts, supervision of litigation and bankruptcy counsel, and the redevelopment of dark properties.
Earlier in his career, Jack helped start and run three data management companies, two of which successfully reached the IPO stage; the third remained private, and dissolved after its managing partners retired.
Jack received his J.D. in 1992 from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was President of the International Law Society. He is admitted to the state bars of New York and Connecticut, as well as the federal courts of the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
